Samuel can sit!

Sam has gotten so big! It seems like just yesterday we had his newborn session, and today we had fun capturing his growing personality (and quick little body). The "sitting confidently" stage is my favorite age to photograph...they can't escape! Except this guy...he can roll with the best of them!

He's also at that great age when every. little. thing. finds it's way into his mouth.

Don't you just love his little embroidered boxers!? I think I've found the perfect solution for baby boys in need of diaper covers (because they are so easy to find for girls, but take almost an act of Congress when it comes to boys).

Ivy Lane Gifts is owned by a Dallas mom (and prior baby plan client)-and I loved when Sam's mom whipped out his pair of embroidered boxers for the session. Perfection!

Zachary + Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a big sister! Baby Zachary is eight weeks old, and today was his day to shine. Elizabeth was a tad reluctant at first (a complete 180 from her last session...which is still my personal record for the easiest toddler session of all time)...but she came around. With her mischievous grin, sparkling eyes, and quick movements-I had to be fast! She was such a little monkey today:

Sweet Zachary has hair unlike anything I've seen...I probably repeated myself twenty times today..."I just love his hair!". Can't you see him in a few months, denim jacket, funky onesie...hair to die for? One thing's for sure-he has his sister's gorgeous eyes!

And like any mellow, laid back, happy little brother...once he'd had enough, he let us know!

Billboards, baby!

Try not to drive off the highway when you see this cutie on billboards come June.

Look for the ad featuring this killer duo on Friday, April 6th in the Dallas Morning News.

And I don't want to hear about you guys stalking buses that drive by sporting her little face either.

(because I'll be the one following the bus around town and driving erratically as the billboards come into view, shaking my head in disbelief that I was asked (read: honored) to play a small part in sharing Audrey's story in such a big way).

Let me also give a shout out to the retouchers that will surely moan and groan when they see the straight out of the camera images...I apologize in advance for the Titanic-sized dust specks that are apparently lurking inside of my camera. Shooting on white (something I never do) is like wearing white...everything shows! ;)

Campbell...

is going to be a big brother!

His parents wanted to make sure we captured this precious time...while he's still the man in charge and before his little brother arrives.

The gorgeous, overcast weather let us roam outside and have fun with all the different textures waiting for us out there.

Of course, like every child, he was done at one point ("See that? I want that that out of here!")-LOL.

Hop, Hop, Hopping along...

I love spring! Hot pink azaleas are blooming in my front yard, apple trees are bursting with white blossoms, and the weather is just perfect. It's just right for photographs, though these don't always need to take place outdoors!

Hopper and I had the chance to play this morning, and despite the overcast day we managed to find the light and take advantage of the bright outfits his mommy picked out for him to wear. Their home is a photographer's dream, and if the sun had cooperated I might have spent all day...just taking advantage of all the little well decorated nooks and crannies.

Oh wait, I forgot...Hopper kicked me out about an hour and a half into our session. But what fun we had together!

Clara Keighley turns One

Miss Clara Keighley has been well documented on this blog. Her three month, six month, and nine month sessions have all been featured at one time or another. And finally, her first birthday party was Sunday.

I do love watching little ones grow as our year long baby plan progresses. But I also love watching the parents grow! I was reminded on Sunday of our first session, almost one year ago. A bottle of Zantac sat on the corner, and we were all poised for Miss Clara's mood to change from tolerant to not so much.

A year later she is walking (er, make that practically running) and is quite the lady with her birthday strand of pearls!

The other side of the lens...

I've received two emails this weekend with pictures of me in action...which is funny since I don't know that I've ever received pictures of me in action (and I'm really okay with *not* knowing what I look like. I prefer the mental picture I keep in my head. But I digress.).

In honor of Minivan Moms everywhere...

Sweet Madeleine...

Three week old Madeleine has a wonderful set of parents. They are funny, vivacious, laid back, and have a great sense of decor. But most importantly, they are sweet talkers...as her mommy called me just a few days ago to see when we could squeeze her in for a 'newborn' session. The thought of losing any more of her brand-newness to my hectic schedule made me cringe. So we juggled a few things around, and today I had the pleasure of playing with Madeleine (and let's not forget her cute parents).

At three weeks babies are less likely to 'curl' on their tummies for that naked sleeping newborn shot. This little one was no exception, and she protested mightily to anything that meant she had to be naked (she has her standards!). Once she was bundled up (read: diapered and dressed) she happily cooperated with our sleeping baby pose.

It just had the Madeleine twist:

You don't write...you don't call...

I have to thank my faithful blog readers for emailing and/or calling recently to make sure I was still alive and kicking. Seems too much time had passed since my last post, and my witty posts were missed (or really, just the gorgeous babies).

I'm back!

First, email issues. Then, software issues. Then, virus issues (of the human, not computer kind. Ugh.). And I lost (and then found) my cell phone. On top of that, personal issues (of the wonderful kind). All combined to give me a great excuse for not posting an update recently...and it feels good to be back!

And no, the personal issues I'm referring to have nothing to do with adding another Weintraub to our family (simmer down you guys...I still get my baby fix from all of you). We might have bought a house. And I don't want to jinx anything, but should the inspection go well this weekend and the closing proceeds as scheduled at the end of the month...we'll be moving in April!

No worries, it's not far...and it is set up perfectly for my office and projection space! Which is funny, since I just finished setting up and decorating my new projection space in our current home.

And while I'm on the topic, f you know of anyone looking for a home in my area...send them my way!

So with all of that out of the way...know that I am still here, still busy, and have a list of phone calls a mile long to return (and tomorrow is the day! I promise!).

But tonight...a long anticipated sneak peek:

Monday I met Gabriella and her mommy at the park for her nine month baby plan session. Gabriella and I are buddies...I photographed her while she was still in her mommy's tummy. Then again as a newborn, and again a few months later. Soon they'll be moving to the beach...but plans are in the works to have Miss Gabriella's one year portraits on the beach instead of back here in boring, dry old Dallas. Can't you just see her digging her bare toes into the sand?

Sweet Gabriella has been sick for a little while, and Monday she did a great job of pulling out her smiles (amid her Darth Vadar impressions) and we worked fast to capture her happy faces before she remembered she wasn't feeling well and was missing her morning nap.
